Life and the Pursuit of Happiness

As I discussed in my first blog post, I am so inspired by one of the spinning teachers at my gym. While we were riding she was talking about how she didn't like New Years resolutions either and told us about how instead of making a resolution, she picks three words to focus on for the the coming year. I loved this idea and am deciding to try it out myself.
My first word is positivity. Since I am such a negative person I want to change and mold my mind to think positively rather than negatively all the time.
My second word is presence. I want to become more present in what is happening right now. Stop focussing so much on the future or the past and just be present in the moment I'm in right now.
My third word is going to be breathe. I hold so much tension in my arms and hands because I forget to breath while I'm dancing. Even when I'm not dancing I think that breathing is good to focus on as well. Focusing on your breathe can center your thoughts so I won't be so quick to jump on a decision.
